Most coffees don’t come with a story worth telling.
This one does.
Mt. Elgon Anaerobic Natural Lot V was chosen by Townsville coffee lovers at a public cupping session—and it blew us away.
Tastes like: sweet rhubarb compote, apple-like acidity, syrupy sweetness, and a clean, coating aftertaste. (Yeah, we freaking loved this coffee.)
Why this coffee matters
Zukuka Bora is a coffee mill on Mt. Elgon, Uganda, that has revitalised the local community.
Back in 2013, Commonfolk (the roasting company I worked for) started donating 20c from every coffee sold to help establish this project. I spent 8 years involved—teaching the Zukuka Bora team how to roast and watching the impact first-hand.
Now, it’s an honour to bring their work to your cup.
Want to know more? There’s a great documentary on the project—watch it here.
